Carol Holland, LCSW, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Diplomate in Clinical Social Work. She attended the College of St. Teresa in Winona, Minnesota and graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Social Work in 1968. She earned a Masters of Science Degree in Social Work (MSSW) from the Kent School of Social Work at the University of Louisville in 1975. In 1991, Carol obtained her Clinical Social Work License in the State of Kentucky. Throughout her career, Carol has worked as a clinical therapist with individuals and families who were experiencing mental health or substance abuse problems. She has worked in outpatient Community Mental Health Centers in Peoria, Illinois and Louisville, Ky. She worked for eight years at Charter Hospital in Louisville with inpatient adolescents who were experiencing emotional and drug abuse problems. She also worked as a medical social worker in the State of Florida, specializing in Epilepsy Services. She has been in private practice in the Louisville area. Carol has had a variety of administrative jobs in inpatient and outpatient settings. She has also provided clinical supervision for Master's degreed social workers who are pursuing their LCSW license. Carol joined the staff of CBC on a permanent basis in January, 2008. She assesses the psychosocial needs of new patients, and is available to counsel patients and families during times of need. She facilitates referrals to appropriate agencies for patient needs such as cancer support groups and community resources.
